To all the supporters of Summertime in the Belgrades: Thank you for helping us have another successful summer!
To our readers: you did it again in 2024. You picked up so many copies of Summertime in the Belgrades that we ended the season with the pre-pandemic circulation of 5,000. That isn’t just a number, it’s a compliment that you like what Summertime in the Belgrades offers, use the Calendar of Events as a what’s-up guide, and are interested in the many ideas we try to present through our write-ups and columns.
To our advertisers: you did it again in 2024. You kept Summertime in the Belgrades going and kept the papers on your shelves in an era when so many print publications are discontinuing.
To our columnists: You did it more than again in 2024. You showed how special this region is, what valuable resources our history (Rod Johnson and Dianne Dowd) and libraries and books (Martha Barkley), our loons and dam committees and interns (Dick Greenan), our hiking and fishing and foraging passions (Pete Kallin) are.
There are many more entities to thank — the lake associations, the 7 Lakes Alliance, the real estate offices, the business groups and chambers of commerce, all of whom provide news and views vital to the region.
We hope everyone has a super fall and a good winter and spring and then — it’s Summertime.
If anyone missed out on any of the 2024 issues of Summertime in the Belgrades this summer, best bets for back issues are the Belgrade Public Library in Belgrade Depot and 7 Lakes Alliance in downtown Belgrade Lakes, and of course, our online archive, which includes all our print additions going back to 2007.
